Gain Weight without increasing belly

I'm about 5'7" and currently weighing 142lb. Looking to increase my weight upto 155 lbs, through lean muscle gain. The calculator recommends 2500 calories, which i try to spread across 5-6 meals.
My work is sedentary, seating at desk from 8am- 5pm then followed by 1-2hr gym workout. My concern is, Increasing the calorie intake and seating idle will probably make my belly bulge out. But then if i do a lot cardio, it if defeat the weight gain goal.
How can this be balanced, to have a truly lean weigh gain.
thank you.

Figure out how many calories it takes to stay the same weight with whatever activity you feel like doing and eat a few hundred over that.
Maybe this will help http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/848374-large-collection-of-info-for-beginners-2013-edition0 -
Gain as slow as you can without remaining stagnant. Some fat gain is unavoidable, but it won't be too bad if you train properly and gain slowly.0

Your best bet would be to set MFP to gain 0.5 pounds per week and continue to lift heavy at the gym.
You WILL gain some fat, but you will also gain muscle. After a while, once the amount of fat you've gained is too much for your liking, switch to a 0.5 pound per week loss.

Small deficit, adequate protein and fat, resistance train, stay active.
