Looking for friends

Hey there! Recently lost 35 pounds. Using MFP to stay on track & would love encouraging new friends that are interest of being friends & helping each out. I battle depression & this helped me control it with no meds. Just got to keep it up.

  • I've used MFP for almost a week now, not very long as you can tell. Every new year through summer, I typically am able to cut back and be more active during those times. Honestly though, lately I've been more stressed out and ended up breaking back down into depression. I still try to get out for walks and do some stretching/lift weights, to feel better, but my motivation just isn't sticking with me. I'm 18 years old and have been dealing with major changes in my weight and size for the last 5 years. Before then I'd always been a chucky kid. I too am looking for some people/friends who have similar goals and what-not. Anything/one to help keep me motivated would be awesome. I'd love to get with people who've got ways to maintain a healthy diet, so as not to fall back into bad habits etc. Anyway, CONGRATS on the 35lbs. keep it up! (: I'm here if you need anything too.

I can relate to you with the depression. Being able to track the changes is a great way to bring your mood up. I battle my depression centered on my weight, and lack motivation from time to time. It is nice to know there are people out there that are struggling too. Keep up the good work.
