Hi everyone, I am fairly new on this site and am hoping to find some friends with the same goals. A little about myself, I am a single father who has allowed myself to get into the worst shape of my life. I want to hit my health goals for a variety of reasons, mainly to see my daughter grow up and to feel so much better about myself. I know having a support group is half the battle.

Just starting the journey is a big step, so way to go! I'm down 70 pounds. It took me two years to do it, but I figure it took me 8 years to put on 150 pounds so I can take 3 or 4 years to take it off. Don't be in a rush and don't feel bad if you don't get mega results fast. Just be healthy and have fun with it, involve your kids and your friends. I've found having goals/rewards helps. Like when I got down to 300 I let myself take this really cool dance class I've been interested in. At 250 I'll get to go skydiving and at 200 I can buy new clothes! Having those (and other little ones along the way) has helped keep me motivated. Best of luck to you!0
