    Doing this with my partner and after 22 years together it is like having a whole new closer relationship - losing a total of 70lbs together means there is 70lb less between us

    THIS is totally awesome! I wish my husband would do it with me.

    My poor chap had little choice, 22 years ago we met and quickly found our strengths, I do starters and main courses (i.e. the majority of the cooking :) He keeps the house and does fantastic desserts. He didn't know he was being MFP'd until he had to tighten his belt (which btw I have now inherited)

    But seriously he knew within days, he had a booze free (or booze controlled) partner back, we both enjoyed our food, talking about it, analysing it, planning it, etc. I can honestly say it has brought us closer emotionally, physically and spiritually.

    We both watch out for each other more.

    I do wish you continued success on your journey and hope and pray that as your husband sees the positive change in you he will come to support and hopefully join you in the march to health.

    I thought I had. It lasted about 3 months. The problem with getting to know someone online (and long distance) is that you don't get to see the real person up front. Then after you fall for them, you start seeing things you don't like. I'll be staying away from meeting women on MFP from now on.

    Sound advice......I fell hard for someone (nothing reciprocated though) and I feel kinda stupid for doing so....but you live and learn I guess...

    I met my husband on MFP, way back in 2008 - We celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary this month and have an almost 2 year old!
