So I am new. I've read alot here and learned quite a bit. One thing I need clarification on- I should at least eat at my BMR level? Even though I've got my MFP goals set at losing 1 pound per week and it says I should be eating 1420 calories (my starting weight was 195, I'm down to 189 now), my BMR is anywhere between 1609 (sedentary) or 1844 (lightly active).
Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, and if I do the 20% of TDEE (I calculated it at 2598) my daily calorie allowance would be at 2,000. That seems an awful lot.0

You should make it a point to never NET below your BMR (intake minus exercise). I average 2,000 calories per day and I am still losing.
Go here for great info on choosing a healthy calorie goal http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/654536-in-place-of-a-road-map-2-0-revised-7-2-120 -
So MFP has me set too low. I read that (great) topic and that's how I calculated all my numbers. Guess it's time to manually change my calorie goal. Yay, more food!
Thank you.0
