tired after working out

So today I get home from the gym and this is the first time that I have NO energy at all! I wanted to fall asleep in the shower. Usually when I get home from the gym I feel tired but not like today...I am exhausted!! The ONLY thing that I did different today was some arms weight machines after my cardio.
If any one has any suggestions on why today I am so exhausted after working out they are greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Karen

Maybe you bonked ... you didn't have enough fuel in your system to support your workout. If that was the issue, a power bar, GU gel, or Clif bar are quick and easy options. But there are others.
Or maybe your body just hit a wall. Get some rest. Take a day off and then get right back on it.
Maybe you're on the verge of getting sick. Take some extra vitamin C and get a good night's sleep.0 -
If you feel debilitating fatigue after a standard workout, you probably have poor recovery practices. Skip a day or two in the gym and do a lot of stretching/foam rolling, light mobility exercises, and sleeping.
I would also recommend doing any strength training before cardio. Using added resistance when your body is already tired is bad news for your spine and joints because your form will not be optimal.0 -
Thanks for the info/suggestions!!0

I wouldn't worry about it! It is just one day, and probably has nothing to do with your routine, your body probably just needed a rest, or you are getting sick.0

I second that!0
