New here, need some advice/feedback.

Hi Everyone!

I am new to MFP. I have been lurking for a few weeks on the boards, and have been getting some great tips. I have decided to come out from behind the shadows and create my first post. So please, go easy on me.

I started my new diet and workout regime about 10 days ago. Starting weight was 135, my goal weight is 110-115. I am 4'11 with a pear shape body. I have been doing great logging my meals and exercise. My first weigh-in indicates that I had lost 4.5 pounds. I do think most of that was water weight however.

I just need some feedback on something. I am struggling to eat my daily recommended calories of 1200, plus those that I am supposed to eat back from working out. I normally have a big deficit everyday. If I try to make myself eat something, I feel sick. I made my diary public so you can see what my meals/snacks look like on a daily basis. Can someone please provide any advice or tips? Is my current diet okay, should I try and eat more? Anything I should add more of or take out?

Advice is appreciated!! Thanks!

From a quick glance it looks like you have a lot of the 100 calorie snacks or low cal yogurts. If the quantity of food is what makes you sick, try eating more calorie dense foods. Try greek yogurt, almonds or other nuts, cheese, etc. Your body needs the fuel!

    Good luck!

Hmm.. well I don't like greek yogurt and the 100 calorie packs are to curb my mid-afternoon sweet tooth. But I could definitely try the nuts and cheese suggestion. I do love me some cheese.

    Thanks for the feedback!

Eat more calorie dense foods. Don't go for low-cal options if you have a problem meeting your goal.

Since you're falling short of your calorie goals, spring for real chocolate instead or grab a cookie. Why deprive yourself? Although overall I think you should go for healthier more calorie dense foods. Eat peanut butter with an apple, eat avocados, cook with oil, etc. As others suggested, nuts and cheese work wonders also.

Ok, thank you everyone again for the advice. I will start adding some more calorie dense food into my day. Especially the peanut butter and cheese (not together). Mmmm...

    Good Luck!
