Hurt my back... :(

I was doing SO well.... eating really well.... getting good walking done, and dancing with the kids.... and today, bending down to put something away, I've pulled something in my lower back and I am in excrutiating pain....
So drugs are in the body now... just feeling disappointed.... I am really motivated.. but can barely move, never mind exercise.....

    I went through this a few weeks ago, right after Christmas. I hurt my back on a Friday morning doing single leg deadlifts. I was in a lot of pain through Monday, felt a little better on Tuesday, and got back in the gym on Wednesday to do some light mobility work. My back is still a bit stiff when I stand after sitting for a long time, but the pain was gone after about a week.

    Fight the urge to get back to your workouts right away. One reason I was able to get back in the gym so quickly was that I was already very strong and in good shape, but I think the main reason was because I completely took it easy for 4 days and then eased back into my workouts. If you push yourself too hard right away, you will end up doing more damage, requiring even more time off.
