    To the OP: My answer is that I would not want to see someone making out in the gym. I take my kids there and wouldn't want them to see that either. Edit to add: that's why we workout at the Y!

    FYI the YMCA isn't always safe either. A couple months ago 3 elderly gentlemen were arrested at our local Y for "hooking up" with each other in the steam room....no joke. :sick:

    I'm a parent too. And i don't see anything wrong with kids seeing grown ups making out. I guess it depends what you mean by "making out"....but I dunno. Kissing? Hugging? Is that so horrid?

    yeah my parents were very affectionate with each other. I was never taught that adults should refrain from all affection in public. I was taught to show love when you feel love.

    For some that might be a pat on the tush or a high five, for some it might be like, let's get the hell out of here and just go bang.

    but as long as they arent being vulgar, I have no issue whatsoever with public kisses. Man/Woman, Woman/Woman, Chick/Chick, Man/Man, Dude/Dude, Chick/Dude, butterflies, who cares - kiSS! the world will be happier.

    I agree that it would depend on how you define "make out". Showing affection with a kiss, a hug, a high five, or even an @ss pat is fine. Full on mack session with tongues is not. (I work at a high school, so my definition of "making out" is what the teens call it)
