Sodium

Hi all, last night I decided to make some homemade chicken noodle veggie soup. Started off good, used alot of veggies, low sodium broth, whole grain noodles. I tried to stretch it to have left overs and added some boullion, chicken flavored granules and then threw in two cans of campbell's condensed chicken noodle soup. Made a huge stockpot. So cold here yesterday I did have nice size bowls. I've been so thirsty ever since and the scale popped up by a few pounds. Will too much sodium make me so horribly thirsty and cause a gain like that. I normally eat progresso light soups for lunch at work, but have not seen a jump like this. Also incorporated ab exercises over the last weeks, about 40 minutes every other day. Someone told me i can gain from ab exercises too. Any advice, want to get these pounds off quick, felt pretty discouraged by this. Thanks.
