open diary for those who have lost over 100 lbs?

Does anyone have an open diary when you have lost over 100 lbs? I'd love to get ideas from you guys and see what kinds of things you eat and what not.

It doesn't really matter what anyone eats. You don't lose weight by eating certain foods, you lose weight be eating within a reasonable budget. Food isn't good or bad, too much food is bad.

True but sometimes I lack imagination and need ideas. If someone who lost as much as I have to lose did it and did it by eating certain things, maybe I could try it.

Bravo for starting to take control of your health! I'm down 80 pounds from my highest (and all of that loss was before joining MFP), it's slow, but worth the pain and work!

Your calorie goal is 2,180. I think that's a great number for you to start with. I think if you ate that many calories of whole, healthy, good-for-your body and mind, foods, you won't feel hungry or deprived and won't indulge in so many pizzas. Really, I'm totally proud of you for tracking things, but if you eat closer to your goal calories throughout the day, I think you'll be able to resist processed food better.

Kudos to you for being honest in your journal, just keep it up, ok? There's lots of people here to help you make better choices every day! <3

And, I'd just add that what I eat now, in maintenance, has changed dramatically from what I was eating when I was losing actively.

It's pretty easy to eat poorly and still lose weight when you are overweight by a lot. When I started, I was almost 60 pounds heavier than my now maintenance weight. I ate lots of sugar, lots of bread and rice and pasta. That changed quite a bit as I approached healthy. Now, bread, sugar, fruit juice or dried fruit, pasta and rice are "every now and then" things. But I was able to lose about 40 of those 60ish pounds by eating all that stuff much more often. So even if you see a diary, what they eat during weight loss and what they eat once they get where they want to be may be totally different things.

I eat pretty clean these days, with very little bread (grains) or sugar. I have to - in order to get all the nutrients I need, some stuff had to be dramatically cut back.
