So how do you reward yourself for your weight loss. I have heard it really helps to have mini goals where you earn something for reaching a goal weight. What have your giving yourself and how do you space them out? I am thinking every 10 pounds I will give myself a rewards but I dont know what to give myself for most of them. What do you think?

270 =movie night
260= New pair of pants
250= new shirt
240=
230 Halfway = haircut
220= new exercise clothes
210=
200=
190=
180=

    my first goal is to win a weightloss contest me and 16 others put together on my facebook. march 31 is the deadline. its based on the biggest percent lost. sooo $300 grand prize. and my fiance said if i lose enough weight i can sell my wedding dress and get a new one i really want. the one i got was over a year ago and we had to postpone our wedding for another year. also the one i got was out of impulse cause it was plus size, fit, and a good price. i would really like to get one i want.

    Pandora, or similar, beads.
    One for each 15lbs until 300, then one for each 10 lbs.
    So far, each bead has a personal meaning for me. Not just pretty.

    I'm doing something kinda similar, but instead of with weight I reward myself when I reach a certain fitness goal. Like after I was able to do a pullup or run my first mile.

    All my rewards have been things that keep me active. New workout clothes or shoes. I also reward myself by doing something fun, but active. Kayaking, I signed up for a cicrcus aerobics class and another time an aerobics class on trampolines which was a hoot. Next I might go big and get my own TRX machine.

    I have a friend who buys a book for every x amount of pounds she loses who is going through the True Blood books this way.

    Do little things that will get you excited and will motivate you to keep up the hard work and make you want to push harder.

    Repeat some of them--you'll probably need new clothes every 15-20 pounds or so, and it's always a huge boost to fit into a new size. Also, are there other treats you particularly like? Books, DVDs, music, a new lipstick if you wear makeup. Print out a picture of the next upcoming treat, and stick it on the fridge or above your scale for motivation. Good luck hitting your goals!

    I got a new tattoo at the half way point, and I have another one planned for when I'm done.

    I have a tattoo planned for when I lose my weight. I am halfway there so going to treat myself to new gym clothes (since I am practically holding my jogging trousers up when I run!)
  • You should have shoes as one of your goals, possibly new makeup, and I think repeat some of the other ones like new pants and shirt since you will need them.

    I read something once that I've been trying - put a dollar in a jar everytime you work out. Save up for something you really want. I like that it rewards efforts. Looking forward to my massage :)

    I don't do mini-goals because I am not girly at all, and going for a manicure or hairdo is more of a punishment to me than a reward, haha. But I do plan on going sky diving when I meet the weight requirement in another 60 pounds. Also, it will open up a lot more spaces for future tattoos...always wanted a tattoo on my side but I don't think it's easy to tattoo over rolls.

    So far I guess I've been rewarding myself by buying more things that will help me in my healthy-eating and fitness goals. Like a food scale, blender, weights for at home...etc..

    Well, I am going to Vegas at the end of April so I am hoping to buy a bunch of cute clothes and a few evening gowns/classy cocktail dresses and a new pair of high heels for a few cocktail parties the husband and I need to attend. I hope to lose another 30 pounds by then.

    When I get to my 100lb lost mark, I will be ordering a custom t-shirt I will make saying something like "I lost 100lbs eating a balanced diet and exercising every day" and something like "No fads, no pills, no shakes, just plain hard work and healthy eating"

    When I get to my actual goal weight, I have no idea. I think Id like the tattoo on my back touched up as I will be wearing backless shirts more often

    A friend suggested the money for a lb trick (in my case £10 for a lb) and in my case the cash is going towards a very nice ring I've had my eye on for a while!

    At 30 lbs lost I got myself some new nail polish. (I'm a bit of a nail polish junky and had to stop buying more, so this was a treat for me lol). At 50 lbs I'm going to be getting a new ring that signifies that. I'm not sure what else. I won't be buying new clothes because I still have all my old clothes and I don't want to buy things I'll just grow out of. I'm thinking maybe a spa day at 100. I don't know yet.
