Thoughts on using pre-workouts while losing weight

A lot of people go with the idea of using pre-workouts sporadically or cycling through different ones with different ingredients so your body doesn't get used to the same stimulant. I just don't know if it's really worth the investment for weight loss even while lifting if you generally have decent energy and drive at the gym.

Usually when I feel "meh" 30 minutes in the gym and I'll feel better and still get a good workout and finish another 60 minutes strong. I'm even starting to think I may cut protein shakes out for a while. I enjoy lifting quite a lot and bring a lot of intensity to the gym already, but I've switched my training style to include super sets. Do you think a pre-workout would help my muscle fatigue less fast, so I could lift as heavy as I used to when I didn't super set?

Depending upon the pre-workout you choose you may notice more muscle endurance. If it is specifically muscle endurance you're concerned with, and I'm inclined to say it is, given your post- focus not being an issue, etc.- have you tried creatine? It is probably one of the most-researched fitness supp on the market, and one of the cheapest. It would, among other things, assist with muscle endurance without any bad caffiene-related side effects.

I'm deliberately leaving out a ton of research that is readily available on the internet because, well, it's readily available on the internet.

the only time i use pre workouts is when im trying to lose body fat... primarily because of the energy boost when consuming less calories but caffeine also has fat burning qualities to it... i also only start taking it once i have reached a certain point in my cut and dont do it right off the bat.

I take a thermo CLA. Gives me the kick in the pants I need @ 4am.

USP labs is doing a promo for some **** and I'm thinking about it... I guess I'll give you a background of my "needs."

I started lifting "heavy" (for me personally... probably about average strength for the general populous ex: 70lb dumb bell flat bench.) I noticed some results, but man when I go beast mode with lower weight I actually feel it more especially the next day. Usually skinny fat happens when you don't lift, but I've been lifting while losing weight and I'm still a fat mess. I used to be like ~255+ and now I'm 170.4 and guestimating about ~23% body fat @ 5"10 1/2 tall.

This question is really for the ex-fatties here. I think what's also been hindering my stomach fat loss is lack of major cardio. I get soreness in my abs when I run from time to time, which makes it hard to predict when I can get good cardio session. It even sometimes happens with elliptical. I know you can't spot reduce, but it does heat up my entire body more than just biking.

I used to use creatine, but found it to be fairly lackluster. I'm willing to give it another chance. I've heard BCAA's are negligible if you eat meat...
