    Juice fast. Watch fat, sick and nearly dead. It's not the safest, but it sounds like your condition may be dangerous. Definitely do with your doctors supervision.

    To the person who posted this - this girl is getting advice from her doctor and I really don't think an untrained person on a forum who has seen a film is the best person to advise. You yourself say it's 'not the safest' yet you are recommending it to a girl who obviously has serious underlying health issues. Seriously?

    To the OP - if you are having worries about what your doctor has said you are perfectly within your rights to ask for a second opinion from another doctor. But please do listen to medical professionals rather than people on this forum.

    Wait...what??

    You need to lose 150 pounds.

    You have a serious medical condition that requires brain surgery.

    You need to lose at least 50 of the 150 pounds in order to get this surgery.

    You have a doctor that is willing to supervise you on a specific diet.

    Yet...you ask complete strangers on an Internet message board for ways to lose this 50 pounds in 2 months.

    Just so I'm clear...your life is in danger, you have doctors who have given you advice and help...but you're instead willing to put your life in the hands of non-qualified strangers?

    Going out on a limb here and saying don't blindly follow what your doctor is saying, they have minimal training in nutrition at best. Ask to be referred to a specialist nutritionist and follow their instruction.
