Measuring body fat: scale versus calipers?

Newbie here.
. I have lost 30 lbs over the past few months, and I still have about 35-40 left to go. I am plateauing now, and have lost about a pound in the past two weeks, so I am really trying to up the exercise and see where my calories need to be. I am forum-searching and such, and am wondering if I should invest in a body-fat-measuring scale or go with some calipers, or something. The more I read about CI/CO, plateauing/upping calories, metc., the more I wonder if I need to look at more metrics than just the total weight loss.
