Am I doing it right?

I joined 12/27/12. Since then I've lost 8 pounds. I set MFP so that I lose 2 pounds a week. I think I'm supposed to eat 1200 calories plus my exercise calories which are 600 per day. I have felt energetic and satisfied with my food intake. Is this the right amount of calories for me? Some days I don't quite get up to the amount I'm supposed to eat cause of fullness.
