Spot check my plan?

My goals for 2013 are as follows:
1) Lose the baby weight I've been holding onto since my first was born in 2009 (and then some)
2) Run a half marathon
3) Get back to lifting

I have access to a park to run in, dumbells/barbell (but no bench or anything else), and a handful of Jillian Michaels DVDs. My current tentative plan is to do the Jillian Michaels DVDs for the next couple of months, running on days that aren't super cold, then when it gets warmer do Hal Higdon's half training program, lifting at home on strength/cross training days (works out to be like 3xweek), then hopefully by the time I complete the 12 week Higdon program I'll have a gym membership and can start lifting there and drop running down to 2xweek (with a semi-long run on the weekend and probably a 5k during the week).

Thoughts? I've been lurking these boards for a few weeks now and everyone seems super knowledgeable and helpful, so I figured I'd run this by ya'll and see if anyone had any thoughts to add.

I think eating right, training for #2 and doing #3 will take care of #1 :D

Do you have a balance ball? This can be used as a weight bench for doing certain exercises with your dumb bells.

you may very well be undereating based on your BMR/TDEE.

2 steps ahead of you, trogalicious, I've been doing IPOARM since day 1. Well, maybe more like day 3, but pretty darn close. LOVE IT. I did WW before Thanksgiving, lost about 10lbs and put like half of it back on. As of this morning, I've lost all that weight, plus a little more, in a week and a half and I feel FULL and HAPPY. I can totally see me eating just like this for the rest of my life. I'm sure I'm going to have to clean up my diet a bit at some point, but I feel like I "get it" now, and it's working!

hmmm....I did at one point, but I haven't seen it in a while. That's smart, though, I'll have to see if I can track it down! $20 says it's popped in the corner of our storage/laundry room.
