TDEE&BMR???

Okay I have seen on here about TDEE and BMR and I have calculated mine but I have no clue what the mean. I keep reading that they are important and I know the BMR is Basal Metabolic Rate. I'm just really not sure what to do with these numbers.
and I don't know if this is important but my BMR=2046 and my TDEE=2678
and I don't know if this is important but my BMR=2046 and my TDEE=2678
