Anyone with upper dentures?

I need advice!!!!! I just got mine today and I'm struggling BAD. It's not that they hurt or anything, they're wonderful. But I can't eat or drink. I can drink a lil through a straw. I ate one piece of scrambled egg and then it took me an hour to eat 1/3 a bowl of soup and I finally just quit cuz I was too frustrated to keep going. I have my natural bottom teeth and just an upper denture. I've been doing so well on weight loss, almost at 10 pounds and I'm so afraid this is going to throw me in starvation mode. I'm going to resort to protein shakes and drink through a straw. But I have to learn to eat real food =/
