RULES FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT TO BE "ATTACKED"

RULES FOR THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT TO BE "ATTACKED"

1. Use the SEARCH feature instead of creating multiple new threads on the same topic.

2. See rule #1 again in regards to "1200". There are OVER 9000 threads on that alone.

3. Make sure to not state OPINIONS as FACTS.

feel free to add to the list, but KISS!

There will always be people trolling. Best to ignore than to feed them - however just b/c someone disagrees with you in a sarcastic way, doesn't discount their opinions! Their opinion may be right and yours wrong...

Quit whining and being victims...only you can make yourself a victim. People cannot seem to laugh at themselves anymore.

    Dear Posters,

I have locked this topic; while I respect the OP's desire to post their opinion on how not to be attacked on MFP, this would be better suited as a group or a blog post than a topic on MFP.

I want to take this opportunity to respectfully remind folks that our community guidelines:
    1. No Attacks or Insults and No Reciprocation
    a) Do not attack, mock, or otherwise insult others. You can respectfully disagree with the message or topic, but you cannot attack the messenger. This includes attacks against the user’s spelling or command of written English, or belittling a user for posting a duplicate topic.
    b) If you are attacked by another user, and you reciprocate, you will also be subject to the same consequences. Defending yourself or a friend is not an excuse! Do not take matters into your own hands – instead, use the Report Post link to report an attack and we will be happy to handle the situation for you.

actually specify that we don't belittle others for posting a duplicate topic. There is a difference between a knowledge base and a community forum. In a community forum people ask questions of other people, even the same ones that have already been asked and that is okay. :-) It is part of the process of interacting with others and participating in the community.

Thank you for your understanding and help in keeping MFP a supportive, friendly community.

    Peace,
    Olivia
