My Small Success

I feel so disappointed in myself. I was doing so well yesterday until I couldn't find my headphones to go to the gym. There is NO WAY I can workout without music, right???? So I cut on the tv and proceeded to eat EVERYTHING in my fridge and cabinets :'( I just stopped recording what I ate after I got to like 500 calories over budget. But instead of doing what I usually do which is say "you already ruined this week you might as well just start again Monday" I'm going to get right back on track today! I just want to thank MFP. This site really does encourage me to make healthier decisions than I would've made otherwise. The fact that I want my counter to have a double digit loss was a big motivator in my choice to get back to business TODAY and not continue to do damage and I think that is a success!

That IS success and a step forward! Way to go!! It's so easy to put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Congrats on making the decision to not put your health off until another day! Pick the pieces back up and keep plugging along...we ALL have bad days. It's when those days turn into weeks that creates the problem.

Definitely a success :) I highly doubt there is anyone on here who doesn't have a binge now and again!

You have the right attitude, dont let it bother you and just pretend yesterday didn't happen! Have a great day :)

Today is a new day. Good job.
  • Summertime, way to go. I don't call that a small step. To me that's a big step in, not only, recognizing the behaviors that lead to your situation, but actually doing something about them. Can I say that's a HUGE step?

    Congrats!

Way to go!! This is a great realization to not let 1 day sabotage achieving your goals. If it helps in a couple of days I will be on this journey of using MFP for 9 months or approximately 270 days. Of those days I probably been over my daily target at least 30 days but still I have lost over 55 lbs. It is what you do over a long run that really matters. Once again congratulations!!

That's an awesome success! It's definitely something I've struggled with and I admire your decision to put yesterday's choices behind you and move forward. Best of luck to you!
