Exercise Question

How should should I log my running / walking? I have a Garmin Forerunner 305 with a HRM strap and foot pod for running on the treadmill and has been calibrated usinging the GPS.

Today I ran 2 miles without walking then walked a little bit then jogged some and did this up to 4.5 miles. I did this in about 51 minutes and my HRM showed that I burned about 780 calories with a 11.5 minute a mile average pace over the entire run/walk. If I put it in MFP as 51 minutes at 11.5 minute pace, the calories burned showed about 780. If I input it has running about 38 minutes and walking the remaining time the calories burned is more like 650.

Question: How do others input their exercise when running / walking?

Just create your own entry. Or, put in walking or running and change the amount of calories burned. I just created my own called 'walk/jog' - I just enter in the time and amount of calories I burned.
