This may be a really dumb question.

I did all the reading, all the calculations. And so I feel like this is a REALLY stupid question that probably ought to be insanely clear by now, but it isn't. So!
According to all the calculations, I should be eating about 1730 daily, having stated in my TDEE that I exercise 3-5 times a week. Great! More food. I can handle that!
Now here's my really dumb question:
Do I log exercise and eat that back TOO? Or do I stop logging exercise and just eat a static number of 1730?

If you included it in your TDEE then you don't log it separately.0

Ok, in that respect, is it then better to have it calculated in your TDEE or to log each and every exercise separately?0

I eat 1600 calories a day, regardless of whether or not i work out. Thats what was calculated according to my TDEE to loose weight. I don't log workouts or count the calories i burn working out. I just work out 4-5 times a week, eat 1600 calories a day (YAY!) and LOOSE WEIGHT!
So for you, id just eat 1730 calories a day, every day, regardless of working out or not.0 -

It depends on what works better for you since they end up balancing out to the same thing. Some people have problems with different calorie goals each day, but others are starving after a workout and want the extra calories. I'd try one way, then if it doesn't work, switch to the other way. (If you want to eat back exercise calories, remove your exercise from the TDEE calculation, set your calories, then eat back what you exercise.) Also keep in mind that most calorie estimates for burned calories are off. Lots of people eat back 60-80% of their exercise calories (personally I did 2/3 when I was eating calories back, now I do same goal every day).0 -
If you work out/burn different amounts each day or week, then including it in your TDEE may not be the best option.0
