How important are rest days?

I know that when you are working out a particular muscle group it is important that you don't work out the same muscles group everyday but for myself, I tend to do a lot of cardio and yoga, both of which work out the entire body. Do I still need to take rest days and if so how often?

I would take at least one rest day per week, just to give your body a chance to recharge and heal. More if your body tells ya it needs it0

You definitely need rest days. Just for your body to heal and get used to the work.
I asked my brother (fitness fanatic) the same thing when I started working out. He told me not to go more than 4 days of working out in a row, max. That way you'll still be working out at least 5 days a week.
Just my thought! Hope it helps! :happy:0
