Tapout/P90x Idea

So, I did 3 months of p90x, and got in pretty good shape. Got a new job, started going back to school, tons of energy, stopped p90x...lost job, was in culinary school (lots of eating!), got pretty big again...found tapout, gave it a go, saw pretty awesome results (not the muscle building like from p90x, but more energy/weightloss). Ended up tweaking my knee from jogging about 6 months ago, so stopped working out...after some life drama, made 1 bad food choice after the other, which ended up in me gaining more weight...I am now 260lbs, 32 years old, looking back at pics of me from when I was in the Army, and wow! 3-4 years, and a 40lbs gain. Alright, time to do something!

As of last Sunday, the 20th, I started doing Tapout XT again, but here is the idea....

Week 1 = Tapout XT Week 1
Week 2 = P90x Week 1
Week 3 = Tapout XT Week 2
Week 4 = P90x Week 2
etc
etc

They are both 90 day programs, and switching it up should also help not get overly bored w/ doing the same program, over and over and over again...

Thoughts/Suggestions/Ideas?

Looks good. But I might look at some exercises to help your knee if you keep injuring yourself and become sidelined.

Word: I do stretches at least 3-4 times a day....don't track it, but I do do them! Currently having to modify alot of the exercises, but I can still feel it in my muscles and it is elevating my heart rate...so cannot complain!

Exercise is good, but you probably need to focus on a sustainable eating plan that won't make you have many bad choices...You can do P90X three times a day, if your eating is over the top, nothing will change...
    Good luck!

astrampe: Of course. W/ me though, I notice the more I engage in actively working out, the more focused I am on what I eat. Definitely not a health-nut, but smaller portions of meat, larger portions of veg...and since I am an (unemployed) cook, I know I can make some pretty yummy semi-healthy food lol

LOL...Same here...I somehow get the idea that if I don't exercise, I can pig out...When I do, it's harder to justify the extra slice of pizza, I just have to remember how much work I need to do to "earn" that!
    Good luck!

Ended up finding someone who did the same thing, he was amazed at how fast he saw the results...so hey, here's to hoping!
