NSV against stress eating

I am hungry right now. It is not because I need to eat but because my work environment is about as fun a "kick in the head" tournament today. I am glad that I was able to decipher where the hunger came from, used to I would just grab some comfort food. What do you do to avoid stress eating.. besides not be stressed. :grumble:

    I am right there with you about the stress eating. I have known for a long time that I am a stress eater, and I have been paying attention to my eating habits, which does help.

    As far as how to combat the stress eating, I find keeping something really healthy around to eat, such as apple slices, raisins, or something like that to eat when stressing helps - you eat, but it is good for you. Steer clear of the vending machines and the fast food joints - they are like the drug dealer to the addict, enticing you to have "just a little bit".

    I also keep star mints and chewing gum handy, and that helps.
