How many mother-in-laws are evil?

I am currently working overseas right now and talk to my wife almost daily via Skype. For the most part everything is going OK. However, my mother-in-law makes my wife cry almost everytime they talk. She is just an evil, vindictive person that only thinks about herself. I try to tell my wife to stop talking to her, but she keeps trying to fix their relationship. They have never had a good relationship. My wife never really knew her father and she doesn't want to lose her mother too. I am lost, but honestly think it would be better if she wasn't with us anymore, and my wife has those thoughts as well.

Is it bad to think that way? Am I the only one?

They aren't ALL evil, but in this case, yes, she is evil.

mine has been great so far, but she does have an evil streak to others, scared of when it is on me

My Mother in Law is evil, my husband's mother in law is not.

But family or not, if the woman upsets your wife to make her cry, she should go. No one needs that, especially with you overseas. She needs people around her that will support and help her if need be.
