Calipers instead of scales

I have had enough to seeing my scales go up and down the same few pounds so I'm going to put them away and get some calipers instead. I'm within healthy body weight but have some fat to lose. Can anyone recommend some good ones.

Are you trying to get a Body Fat percentage or are you just interesting in tracking your weight loss? If weight loss, then I'd use a measuring tape and the way that your clothes fit as a guide.

I used a free one I got with a supp order. I didn't try to determine my actual % with it, just that the fat I could pinch on my belly was decreasing in thickness.

Wouldn't happen to be the bb.com freebie calipers would it? Just curious, as I ended up with one of those things myself. Oddly enough, it doesn't come up too far off for me than an electrode test.

My main concern is my back fat so I want to track if that is going.

As an example, its taken two weeks to 'lose' a pound and then over night i've 'gone up' two. I know it's mainly wind ( sprouts for tea last night) but its making it impossible to see if my diet/exercise is working.
