what are your "spring" eating habits?

spring brings the beginning of ice creams, snow cones, and good fattening food.
what do you usually eat around that time of year?
spring marks the beginning of the deer season, so stocking up on the deer meat is a delicious and very low calorie way of getting good meats.
that and i love to eat fish. so spring time is definitely the time to go out and get your delicious foods.
whether you are shopping, or "bagging your own groceries", what do you eat when summer and spring show their faces?

Where I used to live, I knew where to find wild garlic (aka ramsons) to collect. That's one of my favourite things to have when I can find it in the spring. I would make it into a pesto and have it on everything.

Actually, spring and summer have been the seasons I tended to lose a few pounds without trying...always tended to eat lighter and generally more active outside; I've always tended to eat more high calorie comfort foods in the winter while I cozy with the t.v. around a nice fire.
  • makes sense. a nice fire sounds great right now.

spring here means i get the ground ready to plant a garden at the end of may .. eating never changes other than the food ..ice cream is my weakness in the summer time . lets see now when the nice weather starts i usually want to fire up the grill and throw some sahlens hot dogs on it . cold weather is brutal on me because i make a ton of chocolates for people and cannot make it when its nice out

In general, it means I start firing up the grill more often and using the stove and oven less. It means slow smoked BBQ on selected weekends. Unfortunately, it also means that I usually want to consume more beer.
