    My Husband's best friend was born and raised in Singapore and he said that it is only illegal to buy or sell it in Singapore but that if you own some (ie.. traveling to Singapore from another country and its in your luggage) that you can own it and chew it legally. Just don't spit it on the ground because that is illegal!
