I've had a long day at work and am really having to fight through it.... Still another hour to go and I need to go go the gym. I want to go, but I'm just fighting back and forth about it...
Maybe once I get there I'll be more motivated... I can't start flaking out on my first week being serious!!

i feel the same way a lot of the time. i hate driving to the gym even though it's super close! but once i am there i am super motivated! i try and not go home before the gym, or when i wake up, go straight there cause if i dont, it's wayyyyyy harder!

just do it! youll feel better!
  • Fight through it, drink some water and you will feel better once you get motivated. Keep your eye on the prize:wink:

Just drive yourself there, and get on the treadmill at an easy pace. Seriously, when I can't talk myself into a real workout, I just go, and say I'm going to take it easy on the treadmill and relax. 9 times out of 10 I wind up working out =p

I can't make it to the gym at all so I work out at home. I have a heavy bag and that really helps be decompress from a stressful day. Even if I only hit it for 20 minutes, it's a great work out. And usually after that, I'm all pumped to do some rope work or sit ups.

Hang in there. You'll feel great once you get going!

Im in the same boat - but then i think if i go home ill eat and once i start i wont stop - soooo if i go to the gym ill avoid over eating! Plus i feel so much better after a workout - clears my mind completely!
  • Thanks for all the advice... I get off work in 15 minutes and I'm driving straight to the gym...(its seriously 2 blacks from work) and I'm gonna get in there and just go to town! lol. I can go get it over with and get home and eat some delicious food thats been in the crock pot today!

Again, appreciate all the advice, this site is aweome. :)

Soryy to hijack your thread here, but it's a huge stumbling block for so many folk.

I know myself after a long day in work, knowing you've to get home, prepare dinner, get some of your housework chores done etc that the gym seems such a huge daunting prospect.

I'm not a gym goer myself, i try to swim.

I've lost count of the number of times I've debated with myself whether to go or not!

Always get a push in the right direction on here though!
