BMR and TDEE ???????? Yep, I'm a newbie and trying to get schooled on all the acronyms - - translation please? I started 23 days ago and have lost six pounds, didn't start with my measurements taken but will take them in the a.m. (when I find my darn measuring tape!). Thanks again

Hi,
I just started as well. I know that BMR is basal metabolic rate. Its basically the amount of calories your body burns naturally without doing anything. lol So when you calculate how many calories your going to eat a day you can subtract that amount from your calorie intake
EX: 1200 calories a day - 1900BMR=700 calories extra burned off
Heres a link if you want to know yours!!
