Breakfast - the most important meal of the day?

Hi there,
have been trying to eat really healthy for a while now. Thing is, whenever I try to have breakfast, I kinda fail. As a consequence, I never get to have three meals a day and I don't know how to change it though I need to - I'm still not eating enough.
I don't have breakfast because I'm not hungry at all. If I do despite not being hungry, I feel extremely sick afterwards like I get stomach aches etc. So I feel ill at my classes. I usually don't take anything with me to eat it later since I hate eating in front of other people (I'm recovering from an ED). Any advice on how to figure this out?
Thanks.

You don't need to eat breakfast. Just make sure you get all your calories in when you are hungry.
Put olive oil and peanut butter and calorie dense stuff on your food.
Good luck, and hang in there.

Try yogurt with acidopholus in it. Eat that and a drink of water and you'll make it.
  • Actually I think I do need breakfast. I'm never really hungry so I try to stick to fixed meals. I want to get a feeling for the normal and healthy amount of food my body needs. Thanks for the advice!

Try things that are neutral, like cottage cheese and a banana, or a couple of hard boiled eggs and some ryvita.
I am not a breakfast person, but when I was having it in an attempt to get my own ed under control, I had cottage cheese and a banana usually.

Alternatively, why don't you get a blender and make yourself smoothies, using milk, fruit and maybe some honey?
There are lots of recipes for those around online and on here too I imagine.

Just try and have things that are small, but calorie dense. Peanut butter is a good one, just a few spoonfuls adds up to a couple hundred calories.

yeh people are gonna argue whether u need breakfast for the metabolism or if you should eat 6 meals a day and wut not... but the undeniable truth is that breakfast foods are undoubtedly the greatest most delicious foods out there!!

try a stick of cheese and a hardboiled egg. small enough so you wont feel stuffed, but has protein and the fats you need for recovery too. Lots of small mini meals? :glasses:
