BMR & TDEE?

I'm wondering when you want to use one over the other. I noticed my BMR and TDEE are quite different from eachother, and both are different from the standards MFP gives me. My BMR is closest to what MFP came up with, but the TDEE is really quite different... much confusion.

Your BMR is the number of calories your body would need to exist in a coma, you want to stay above that. Your TDEE is the number of calories your body would need on an average day to function depending on what activity level you've selected. If you want to lose weight you'll want to eat somewhere between the 2 numbers. A 20% reduction from your TDEE is a good place to start.0
