Hi Guys! I am 5'3 and 188. I have been consistantly lifting and being really good with the Jamie Eason 12 week program. I have seen results in my body but my weight????? HAS NOT BUDGED! Have any of you found this happening to you? What did you do to change it? I am getting frustrated because I know the first 10 to 15 pounds should shed off pretty easy but it isnt!

Muscle weighs more than fat0

Have you measured your body fat? I weight train and although my body weight hasnt moved much lately my body fat has plummeted and I feel strong and energized.0

Try adding cardio to your workout ... cardio burn fats0

you shuld be finding that your clothes will start to fit better as you lose inches...
you may not lose as much scale weight because sore muscles retain a lot of water. try weighing the morning after a rest day, not the morning aftre a training day, that might help too.0 -
If you are seeing changes in your body then you don't need to worry what the scale says. With strength training, the places where you see your progress are your measurements, your body fat percentage and progress pictures.
Since I started lifting heavy my body fat has gone from 23% to 17.5%. I weigh about the same0 -
Thanks you guys for some tips. I know muscles weigh more than fat.... but thanks for reminding me about the water weight!0

When muscles are healing they retain extra fluid. This likely explains what the weight is.0

I am having a similar issue. And I am a similar size ( 5'2" and 195lbs).
I totally get *why* you want to see the scale move, I really do...but you need to put it on the back burner for now. Take measurements and take pictures, and they will give you a better indication of progress being made.
these pictures of the back of my thighs were taken just over a month apart. I may have lost 1-2lbs in that time period.
