Yes, you are most likely eating too little. This is the most common gripe on this website. You may also be exercising a little too much. People sabotage themselves routinely by starting out very committed, going way past 'reasonable', hurting and feeling bad, starving and not losing, and then deciding that it's not possible for them.
This describes the problem in a very candid and easily accessible way: http://nbsfit.com/nutrition/weight-loss-isnt-always-about-eating-less-and-exercising-more/

Weight loss isn't linear nor is your metabolism.
a If you eat below starvation levels, you lose weight but pretty quickly get harmed.
b If you eat very low calories, you may experience adaptive thermogenesis and still not lose weight.
c If you eat in a reasonable deficit, you will see fat melt away at a reasonable pace
d If you eat at "maintenance" calories, you neither lose nor gain
e If you eat in excess of maintenance your body stores the excess energy as fat.
You want (c) right now, and it should feel healthy, not painful!0 -
Thank you, I needed that reality bite0
