I'm looking to buy an HRM and trying to figure out the difference between the men's and women's Polar FT7's. Are they the exact same just different colours?

Color and size of the band. I have the women's FT4 because I have really small wrists and the men's sizes don't do up tight enough.

There's a mens and womens version? Who'da thunk it. The ones I was looking at all looked the same, no where were they labeled as gender specific? Now I'm curious what your looking at!

I think its colour and size - I bought the grey FT4 and its size is perfect for me, but I guess super slim wrists my struggle.

It's the size. And women's have more color options.

    Is there a male/female setting.....does it matter?

When you do the set up on the monitor it will ask you for your sex regardless of the model #.
  • Wristband/watch size. Women tend to have smaller wrists. Also, I do believe the woman's watch comes in more colors...
    Red is pretty dashing :blushing:

Just posting to confirm what others have said. The only difference is the size of the wristband and the color.

just the colour and size of the strap. I ended up with a 'men's' one, because I didn't want pink. It still has options in the user setting for male/female.

Thanks for all of the replies! Guess I'll try one on for size first as I am partial to the "men's" black and red stripe one.
