I was watching "Steve Harvey" this morning, and he was showing some of the diets that he has tried. I am curious to know if any of you have tried any of these diets, and if so, do they work? He featured Master Cleanse, Martha's Vineyard Diet, Chuice, and the Atkins/South Beach diet.

You don't need a diet. Diets are temporary solutions that never provide long term results. If you learn how and what to eat and have a moderate deficit, then you will get better and longer lasting results. Do yourself a favor, learn to eat whole lean meats, plenty of fruits veggies and through a little dairy and grains in there. Set your account to 1/2 - 1 lb per week and if you exercise and MFP is estimate your exercise calories, eat 50% of them.

You do not need to diet or cleanse unless you want to throw your money away. Your body naturally detoxes. If you had something to cleanse, you would be in a hospital.

ps- if you exercise, make sure you have resistance training. It helps preserve your muscle.

Ummm..thank you, I was just asking...I didn't say I was planning to try any of it. I already know how to eat, I've been on this path for a month, and it is working. But, thanks again, for telling me what I already know. I was asking a question. Have a great day.

nope never tried any of them and i have no idea what the martha's vineyard diet is and i'm from massachusetts. real housewives of beverly hills discussed the master cleanse - something about drinking lemonade for 10 days and nothing else. the part they probably left out was after you do that "diet" you have to visit the dentist for acid erosion. lol! better to just focus on good healthy eating habits than fads diet plans.

No more asking questions for me because people on here just take things to a new level. It was simple curiosity that had me asking in the first place. I already do the healthy thing, thanks so much.

If this is really him...looks like someone superimposed his head onto someone else's body.
