Protein question??

I'm doing a total-body circuit weight training routine. I have been reading that since I'm lifting weights now, I should be taking in a gram of protein per pound of body weight. Yet, MFP has my goal total of 76. Is that also measured in grams? Or should I be taking in double that??

I've heard of .8-1 gram per pound of lean body mass, but not body weight. I'd suggest trying to determine your LBM (get your body fat percentage determined) and try that. Otherwise you'll probably be consuming excess protein which will probably end up getting expelled as waste.0
