kettlebells

I have started a kettlebell and pilates class. the kettlebell class s 45 mins. how can i put this in my exercise. i dont know how many calories i burn. im onky using an 8kg weight at the moment. also does it go cardio or str?

    Can anyone help with this. i need to put it in my diary today and i dont know how? Its not in the list. i dont know whether cardio or str and not sure how many cals. i dont wanna put too many in.

    I have no idea with pilates I'm afraid, but kettlebells can be a really high number. It depends on how hard you worked though, and how long you were actually using the kettlebell during the class. (For example was there a lower intensity warm up, cool down, and stretching?)

    If I did 45 minutes continues kettlebells my burn would be well over 500 calories. (I weigh 210 pounds, lighter people would burn less I think). I put it in cardio, but it is strength as well. I judge it as cardio because my heart rate stays elevated above 160 the whole time.

    Om thankyou. when i go this morning ill get a rough idea of how long i use the kettlebell and then calculate. i weight 157pounds. i woukd estimate about 300 cals then. maybe

    But I think its a little high myself. But if you really really push it, knock off 1/3rd and I don;t think you would be far wrong!

    thanks. it did look high at 900. i put in 330.
