Hi.
I use JM DVDs.
Mainly 30DS and 6W6P. And once a week Backside for beginners (it's sooo boring).
Currently I don't have a Heart Rate monitor.
1. How can I track calories for these. (I'm 32 and about 140lbs)
2. Ca you recommend a very reasonably priced one?

take your HR 10 min in, 20 min in and 30 min in. It only takes 10 seconds and then find the average and calculate calories burned based on that.0

I log 30DS as circuit training0

Can anyone recommend a moderately priced HRM? (Do they just track HR?)0

Check your HR frequently thru your workout to get an average HR, then you can enter it along with your stats into this website calculator-
http://www.shapesense.com/fitness-exercise/calculators/heart-rate-based-calorie-burn-calculator.aspx
And it will tell you how many gross calories you burned in the time exercised. You can also calculate your 'net' calories burned, which deducts your BMR from the number since it is already factored into your calorie deficit. If you are eating back all your exercise calories, you need to go by the net calories burned so you don't overeat them.
As for a HRM, Polar Ft4 or Ft7 or the best ones, and are very reasonably priced. You can find them on Ebay or Amazon for around $50-$70.
ETA The Polar HRM calculates calories burned as well as HR.0 -

^^Good practical advice. Funny how we have become so dependent on electronics!
OP you can feel your pulse at either your wrist or carotid for 10 seconds, then multiply by 6.0
