Lose weight by working?

Can work be considered a work out if your lifting all day and walking... Its better than being at home on the couch. They say get up and move. Can you burn calories or is it just built into you and your body knows.... Some times I even sweat. Was just curious if anyone knew some thing about that.

absolutely it would be! You're obviously burning calories at a different rate than those of us with desk jobs. You would need to eat more food to maintain your weight, you'd have a higher BMR for sure0
