trying to post a gif

Any thoughts on why it won't post and play properly?

Didn't it work for me either but if I paste the URL in the address bar, it works fine.

It probably has something to do with the Photobucket album it's in being private.

You may be doing it right but that gif really has been moved or deleted. At least I'm not seeing it on that page.
