If my calorie intake is 1200, I have burned 157 calories, consumed 1254 calories do I have to eat the remaining calories or is it ok not to?
I just upped my calorie intake a few days ago to 1200 beacause I was getting below 1000. If I start eating more now and if I have to eat all my calories burned won't I gain weight? Some days I am active and some days I am lightly active. I put that I was lightly active is this ok? It says I burn 1532 calories on my own. I am 5'5 181 pounds. Could somebody help me with this?
For 2 and a half months I have been walking 40-45 minutes 7 days a week somedays more. I thought I might try walking for 30 minutes a day at a faster pace. Any suggestions about exercise?

Hey Upstategirl, I used to walk just like you are and didn't seem to get anywhere with my weight. My hubby has been after me (for as long as I can remember) to try to run on the treadmill. But, of course, I refused. So finally I gave in. I found a program that suggested inclining the treadmill for a week while walking at 3.4. Then the second week walk for 2 minutes, run for 3. Third week, walk for 2 minutes run for 4. And so on. I have to admit that it is finally starting to work. I am up to running for 10 minutes, walking 2. I joined this site about a week and a half ago and lost 2 pounds the first week! Finally some progress!
Let me know if this helps any.0 -
