Help with Misto

I just bought a Misto and it doesn't seem to work. I don't know if it is defective, or if I'm doing it wrong. I cleaned it first and it took several pumps, but it actually sprayed. But that was the only time. I don't know how many times I've pumped the darn thing, nothing comes out. I filled it with a little less than 1/3 cup of olive oil. The button doesn't seem to actually press down, should it? Any advice would be appreciated!

Yes, the button should push down. They need to be pumped 15 times before the first use. If the button's not going down, I would say you got a defective one. Can you return it if you have to?0

Thanks! I bought it online, but I should be able to return it. I've probably pumped it 30 or 40 times trying to get it to work. I'll figure out the return process, unless someone else has any thoughts.0

I wouldn't pump it anymore, and be careful taking the lid off. If it's built up pressure it could be dangerous. If it hasn't, there's your problem0
