Lifting weights for women

So I'm totally new to this but I really want to do it, someone had suggested I read a book about it first and I can't remember the name of it for the life of me...can anyone point me in the right direction? Or, good suggestions on where to start for beginners?

As already stated it is the New Rule of Lifting for Women one I think you are looking for. I would also like another poster suggest stronglifts. You can download an app for your phone and it does the programming for you0

I dont know of the book but I do lift weights. I have for almost 2 years now. You will notice some terrific changes once you get into it. So go do it!0
