I just joined literally an hour ago. I'm tired of being overweight. Though I have the desire, it seems I lack some motivation. :\ I would be greatly encouraged if I knew someone out there routing for me. :) I could also motivate back!

  • Hello, I also just joined, but last night. I have been working out for awhile now(like a yr) but got real serious abt 6-7mths ago. I started out at 173lbs @ 4'11(short). My Wt in last monday was 141.0 with a goal wt of 125, so i'm getting there. I have come along way though, I run and I recently started the workout program Insanity, which lives up to its name(OMG). As far as the running I started out slow(very slow). but I picked up distance in time. I just now finished my first 10k this past wednesday(I CANT EVEN BELIEVE IT MYSELF). MOTIVATION...well thats tricky in the beginning, you cant think abt what you gotta do ya just do it. There were days when I would procrastinate for hrs on doing any excercise. But believe me after a mth of the same routine it starts to becomes HABIT!! I find motivation now by getting on line and reading abt running, getting new equip, workout clothes, shoes, ect....THIS I FIND ENJOYMENT IN. I LOVE TO LOOK AT WORKOUT APPS AND POSTERS...I just really keep myself motivated. Going from a size 16 to a size 10 pants<< is motivation alone...YOU CAN DO IT!!

Hi, I joined a couple weeks ago and even though I've lost a bit I have yet to motivate myself towards a gym, maybe we can motivate each other! I am hitting the gym this week! Just bought £80 of gym clothes so let's hope I do! My sister in law once said to me "nothing tastes as good as looking good feels" I now have this on my fridge!
