Today's NSV

My NSV from the past week or so is actually focusing on NSVs and not on the scale. I've been steadily between 252-255, even though my lowest weigh in so far was 250.5. I've been doing Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred (like, who isn't? lol) 4 days a week (only started last week) and still doing the elliptical at work 15-30 mins a day 5 days a week. Even though the scale isn't showing the hoped for 240 numbers just yet, I definitely am continuing to look better and feel better. I know I'm probably gaining muscle right now and I've been doing very well (with the exception of a couple days going over a few hundred) on my calorie goals. I know even if I do go over some days, the days I am well under make up for that, as well as the idea that as long as I'm still staying under my TDEE I'll still lose, just maybe not as fast. But when it says "If every day were like today you'd weigh ___ in 5 weeks" on those days I just say "Well, good thing every day isn't like today." lol I know I'm doing a lot better overall when it comes to moderating my diet and being motivated to exercise. So many things have changed for me. I feel better and stronger every day!

Way to go. It's not always easy, but it's totally worth it! Keep it up!

That's how you stay motivated! Not only that, but you're building the foundation for a lasting life change, one that will keep you healthier and stronger your whole life. Much better than fretting over every calorie now, and looking forward to hitting your goal as 'when I get to eat again', which ends up being 'when I start gaining all back again'.
