Hello From SW Florida

Hi - My name is Don and I'm new here, having recently discovered the myfitnesspal ap for counting callories. I've only been playing with it for about a week but so far I like it. I've had a spare tire most of my life and my goal is to get slim, trim and fit. I'm tired of it, I don't like the look and I don't like the prospects of growing older, fatter and stationairy like so many.

I've been going to the gym three times a week for about 5 years now and I finally realized that while I was getting a little stronger I was still too fat. So I started swimming, five days a week, and I still do my 3 days in the gym lifting weights and on the off days I either run or bike 10-20 miles. Now I'm really getting stronger and I've lost over 25 pounds. I've gone from size 36 tosize 31 pants and I'm starting to get complements on how slim I am. And yes, I am still working - putting in 50-60 hour work weeks and traveling on business too.

I recently took a challenge - the "bikini challenge" #fitfam if you're on Twitter - with the goal of posting a picture of yourself in a bikini today and again on June 1. The picture in my profile is my Jan 1 start picture. I hope that I have finally gotten rid of that spare tire by June 1.
