I learned that I have a "mesomorph" body type - never heard of this before. Therefore, for my body type I should supposedly increase cardio and decrease weights? Any mesomorphs, ectomorphs or endomorphs out there with thoughts / opinions ?

How do you know what type you are? I have no idea anymore. I used to be very top heavy but had a breast reduction earlier this year & gained weight as well so instead of having an hourglass figure I'm now more like a cylinder. :ohwell:0

Mostly considered an obsolete theory now:
See Somatotype and constitutional psychology.0 -
Your bone structure has no effect on your metabolism, reaction to stimuli (exercise) or anything else. Don't make your body type change the way you eat/train. It's simply your bone structure.
Also most people misjudge their somato-type based on existing muscle mass/fat.
Someone could look at an overweight ectomorph and think that they're endomorph, or a skinny mesomorph and think that they're an ectomorph or a built endomorph and think that that guy is a mesomorph.0
